Hi folks! What are some Vanguard funds you invest in?
Community Answers:
Answer #1: Vanguard S&P500 Index Fund
“For me, just the Vanguard S&P500 Index Fund … Vanguard 500 Index Fund (ticker: VFINX).
Another great option for buy-and-hold investors is the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (VIG). VIG yields 1.85%, has a gold rating and 0.06% expense ratio.
They also have an excellent global fund … Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (VXUS).
I can’t really vouch for their actively managed funds, as I typically don’t dabble there.” —SVIC Member
Answer #2: Don’t pick and choose the hot ones
“When people talk about index funds, it is a mental shift. Don’t pick and choose the hot ones. Step back and think about the concept.
You want to buy the whole market. Full stop.
You want to buy the whole market and if a high tide comes it will lift all boats. And if the tide goes out, you take your lumps, keep investing. Over time, “the market” will go up.
Let me say that again. Over a long time, the whole market will go up.
So buy the whole market. Don’t play games picking and choosing.
What is the whole market? Canonically, it is Total World Index Fund from Vanguard and Total World Bond Fund from Vanguard. That’s it.
You can slice and dice if you want, but here is the basic set up.

Answer #4: Large cap growth tech
“VGT where for every $1 you invest, $0.40 goes into AAPL MSFT & NVDA… hella beta, but great ETF to invest in large cap growth tech.” —SVIC Member
